Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tatsuya Mifune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsui Takamatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mifune comes to the cage accompanied by BABYMETAL - Uki Uki ★ Midnight . The crowd seem to be enjoying Takamatsu's choice of entrance music: Dogs of War. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tatsuya Mifune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Matsui Takamatsu!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mifune misses with an uppercut. Takamatsu saw that one coming.
Takamatsu ducks under a wild hook from Mifune.
A jab from Mifune finds it's way through Takamatsu's defenses.
Takamatsu moves into range and clinches up with Mifune.
Takamatsu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mifune is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Takamatsu to the mat. Takamatsu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Mifune lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mifune will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Takamatsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mifune accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mifune postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Mifune lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Takamatsu has momentary wrist control but Mifune slips an elbow through the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Takamatsu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mifune defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mifune is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Our spies down at at Blitzkrieg Fighting Systems: Ground inform us that Takamatsu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Mifune drops back looking for a leg! Takamatsu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takamatsu manages to kick Mifune off! Mifune jumps back into Takamatsu's guard.

Takamatsu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mifune can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mifune postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Takamatsu is looking for a triangle but Mifune pushes his legs off easily.

Takamatsu has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mifune doesn't defend quickly enough and Takamatsu has managed to lock this one up! Can Mifune escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Takamatsu on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Matsui Takamatsu!
A relieved looking Matsui Takamatsu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
