Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Snitzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tom Kong has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Kong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fritz Snitzel! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snitzel gets a takedown into half guard. Snitzel slips a nice elbow through Kong's hands, connecting with Kong's forehead. Kong trying to hold on to Snitzel's head to control him but Snitzel postures up.
Snitzel wants to pass the guard but Kong is defending well. Kong regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Snitzel. Kong wants to stand up but Snitzel is controlling him. Kong keeping moving, preventing Snitzel from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snitzel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Snitzel prevents Kong from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snitzel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kong is trying to keep Snitzel in close.
Snitzel throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Snitzel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Snitzel postures up in Kong's guard and throws a big left but Kong blocks it. Snitzel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Snitzel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Snitzel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tom Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fritz Snitzel. Snitzel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Snitzel tries for a takedown but Kong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Snitzel shoots in and drives through. Kong sprawls well. Tom Kong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Snitzel fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kong stuffs the takedown. Snitzel has a takedown stuffed. Kong gets caught flat footed, as Snitzel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Snitzel trying to move into half guard but instead Kong has managed to sweep! Snitzel looking for a sweep. Not yet Snitzel, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kong wants to control from the top but Snitzel keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snitzel isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kong stacks Snitzel on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kong! Kong trying to control the position but Snitzel is working away. Snitzel is looking for a sweep. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snitzel wants to control but Kong postures up. Kong wants to control but Snitzel is keeping him busy. Snitzel trying to control but Kong flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tom Kong will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

He can't get it on this occasion though. Kong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kong tries to sprawl but Snitzel drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kong gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Snitzel throwing strikes but missing. Kong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Snitzel is controlling him. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Snitzel wants to control from the top but Kong keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Snitzel has his takedown stuffed and Kong counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Snitzel closes the distance and clinches up with Kong, looking for a takedown. Snitzel pushes Kong against the cage but Kong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snitzel darts in looking for a takedown but Kong gets double underhooks and turns Snitzel into the cage. Kong is looking to break free of the clinch but Snitzel has double underhooks. Kong has had enough of the clinch but Snitzel keeps him there for the moment. Kong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Snitzel dives in for a single leg takedown but Kong sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Snitzel shoots for a double leg takedown but Kong sprawls well. He's pushed Snitzel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Snitzel. Snitzel shoots in looking for a takedown. Kong tries to sprawl out of it but Snitzel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snitzel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Snitzel somewhat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snitzel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kong defends well and Snitzel ends up having to push Kong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Kong dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

It looks like Fritz Snitzel has been cut. Kong working Snitzel over with knees to the body. Snitzel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kong lands an elbow inside. Kong breaks from the clinch.
Snitzel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kong as he avoids it easily. Kong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Snitzel. Kong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kong wants it to stay on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Snitzel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snitzel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kong defends well and Snitzel ends up having to push Kong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A short body shot lands from Kong as the two fighters clinch.
Kong is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kong working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kong lands a nice elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice body punch from Kong. Snitzel takes a knee to the side of the body. Kong scores with a hook to the body. Kong comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Kong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fritz Snitzel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Snitzel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snitzel fails with the takedown and Kong counters with a thumping low kick. Snitzel misses with a takedown and Kong counters with a straight right hand. Snitzel misses with a takedown attempt - Kong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Snitzel shoots in for a takedown but Kong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tom Kong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

He's pushed Snitzel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snitzel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kong circles away. Fritz Snitzel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Snitzel fails to land the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Kong showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
