Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maria Ozawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brogan Kearney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maria Ozawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brogan Kearney! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ozawa throws a hook to the side of Kearney's head but Kearney sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kearney throws a body shot but no joy. Kearney cracks Ozawa with a good jab. Kearney getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kearney lands a slapping body shot.
Ozawa goes for a double leg but Kearney avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kearney continues to drive forward. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kearney. Ozawa looks to throw an elbow but misses. Kearney lands a body punch. Ozawa lands a good knee to the midsection. Kearney won't want to take too many of those. Kearney digs a right hand into Ozawa's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ozawa's gas tank. Kearney lands with a short shot to the head. Ozawa throws an elbow but it's blocked.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ozawa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kearney digs a right hand underneath Ozawa's ribcage. Ozawa let out a lung full of air as it connected. Ozawa blocks a body shot from Kearney. Kearney prevents the takedown attempt.
Ozawa pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Kearney tries to throw a body punch but Ozawa avoids it by throwing Kearney back against the cage. Ozawa avoiding damage as Kearney throws knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ozawa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ozawa misses with an elbow strike.

Ozawa pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kearney has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ozawa is proving hard to escape from. Kearney with a nice head shot there. Kearney throws a big elbow that misses. Kearney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ozawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ozawa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kearney throwing strikes from guard but Ozawa blocks nicely. Kearney is looking to work some ground and pound but Ozawa has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ozawa punching from the bottom - just letting Kearney know he's still in a fight. Kearney throws a big elbow that misses. Kearney loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ozawa has control of Kearney's left arm, preventing Kearney from doing any damage. Kearney missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ozawa looking to control.
Kearney cracks Ozawa with a solid left hand. Kearney is looking to work some ground and pound but Ozawa has wrist control. Kearney trying to control but Ozawa is working from the bottom. Ozawa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kearney postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ozawa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kearney but Kearney pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maria Ozawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kearney scores with a jab. Ozawa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kearney manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kearney misses with a two punch combination.

Ozawa jumps guard and drags Kearney to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ozawa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kearney is controlling him. Kearney stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Ozawa has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Kearney manages to get his head free but now Ozawa has transitioned to an armbar! Kearney grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Ozawa! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
