Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Kalawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hubert Rozwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rozwal is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DREAMGATE. Hubert Rozwal acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Kalawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hubert Rozwal!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rozwal throws a head kick but Kalawa moves out of range.
Kalawa takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Kalawa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rozwal to the ground. Kalawa is now in Rozwal's guard.
Rozwal avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kalawa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kalawa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kalawa is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kalawa throwing strikes from guard but Rozwal blocks nicely.

and Kalawa counters with a shoot takedown. Rozwal fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kalawa looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rozwal passes into side control.
Kalawa is looking to regain half guard here but Rozwal keeps moving and retains side control.

Rozwal is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kalawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kalawa is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kalawa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

George Kalawa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kalawa is landing with some decent strikes but Rozwal is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rozwal tries to get back to half guard but can't.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Rozwal is desperately trying to improve his position but Kalawa has a good base and remains in mount.
Kalawa misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kalawa breaks from Rozwal's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Rozwal is rocked!
Kalawa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rozwal can do to turn this around?
Rozwal is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kalawa lands a heavy elbow.
Rozwal is still in real trouble! Can Kalawa finish him?
Kalawa punching from mount but Rozwal doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Rozwal seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kalawa cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kalawa is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kalawa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kalawa lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Rozwal! Kalawa sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Rozwal and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). George Kalawa!
