The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vezina throws a right and a left that Petrenko avoids nicely.
Vezina throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Vezina misses with a two punch combination.
Petrenko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Petrenko avoids the head kick by Vezina.
Vezina lands with a shot to the body.
Vezina lands a nice looking kick to the body. Petrenko takes a step back to recover.
Vezina throws an off balance right hand
and Petrenko counters with an outside leg kick.
Vezina misses with a head kick.
Petrenko slips a straight right by Vezina.
Petrenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vezina looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vezina is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Petrenko misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Petrenko has hold of Vezina's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vezina seems comfortable defending it but Petrenko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vezina is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vezina is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Petrenko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
