Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Psycho Tourney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Psycho Tourney ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gilbert Pettis! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tourney is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pettis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pettis shoots in looking for a takedown. Tourney tries to sprawl out of it but Pettis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tourney manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tourney looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pettis is fending him off so far but Tourney persists. Nope, Pettis circles away and we're back to standing. Tourney leaves Pettis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tourney throws a sloppy head kick and Pettis moves out of range easily. Gilbert Pettis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pettis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Pettis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tourney doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pettis. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pettis seems to be looking for submissions.

Pettis is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tourney ! Pettis stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Pettis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tourney was covering up waiting for the punch and Pettis finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pettis wants to control from the top but Tourney keeps moving. Pettis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pettis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pettis passes Tourney 's left leg - he's now in half guard. Pettis wants to control but Tourney is keeping him busy. Pettis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tourney defending well though. Pettis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pettis is thwarting Tourney 's attempts to control the position. Pettis uses his free foot to push down on Tourney 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tourney . Pettis looking to control but Tourney is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettis lands a couple of good shots and Tourney has given up his back, trying to escape the position! I would not like to be Tourney right now.

Tourney is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Pettis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Pettis is looking for the choke from the back position but Tourney is controlling his hands well. Tourney takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Tourney shoots in for a takedown but Pettis shows good takedown defense. Tourney goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pettis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tourney defends well and Pettis ends up having to push Tourney into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tourney jumps guard but Pettis stands there with Tourney around his waist. Tourney gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pettis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tourney can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tourney is bucking up trying to escape but Pettis cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Tourney is squirming around, avoiding Pettis's attempts to control the action. Pettis controlling the pace for now. Pettis trying to control but he's not successful this time. A nice elbow there by Pettis.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pettis in particular looking to stall. Pettis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pettis prevents Tourney from improving his position. Pettis wants to take a breather but Tourney is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
