The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apodaca shoots in for a takedown but Wolf shows good takedown defense.

Apodaca gets caught flat footed, as Wolf shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wolf got a little sloppy there for a moment and Apodaca has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wolf has managed to get both his arms back between Apodaca 's legs - danger averted.
Wolf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Apodaca is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wolf is controlling him.

Apodaca escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wolf gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wolf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Apodaca . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Apodaca is breathing heavily.

Wolf loads up on a big left hand. Apodaca felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Wolf looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Apodaca can't hide his disappointment, as Wolf celebrates the victory.
