The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands a nice leg kick that just misses Oliveira's sensitive parts.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Oliveira sprawls well.

Oliveira has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones is looking to improve his position but Oliveira isn't that keen on the idea.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Oliveira is looking to sinch up a triangle. Jones throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Oliveira's body to avoid the submission. Oliveira has instead reached around Jones's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Oliveira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
