And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cale wants to hit a switch here but Mcfarland passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cale there!

Mcfarland is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cale has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Mcfarland has hold of Cale's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cale manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cale is trying to reverse the position but instead Mcfarland has taken his back - oops!

Mcfarland is thwarting Cale's attempts to control the position.

Mcfarland looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mcfarland wants to stand but Cale has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mcfarland is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cale gets back to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cale holds on and takes a little breather.
Cale wants to stand up but Mcfarland is controlling him.

Cale looking for a sweep. Not yet Cale, not yet.
Cale pulls Mcfarland in close to prevent any damage.
Cale not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mcfarland is looking for a sweep. Cale is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mcfarland is working hard here to advance position.
Cale wants to control but Mcfarland is keeping him busy.

Mcfarland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcfarland is trying to control the position but Cale postures up.
Cale sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcfarland's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erevis Cale dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Cale is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mcfarland's half guard.
Cale is pressing down on Mcfarland's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mcfarland is holding on for now.
Mcfarland wants to get back to full guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cale. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mcfarland shoots in looking for a takedown but Cale manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mcfarland's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cale is looking to clinch but Mcfarland is avoiding it.
Cale goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Mose Mcfarland has been cut.

Cale throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Cale tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcfarland swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cale shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcfarland is trying to defend but Cale finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Cale is keen to just control but Mcfarland is a slippery customer.
Mcfarland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcfarland manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cale manages to get himself to full guard.


Mcfarland stands up and waves to Cale to follow him.

Cale shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Erevis Cale has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mcfarland slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Erevis Cale showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Cale swats away the attempt to clinch by Mcfarland.
Cale lands a hook that stumbles Mcfarland back into the cage. Cale follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Mcfarland to the canvas! Cale pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Mcfarland has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
