Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Heriberto Nichols (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chindolly The Fast Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine has chosen The Next Big Thing as his entrance music. Heriberto Nichols has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nichols is defended easily by Machine.

Nichols drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Nichols working away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nichols wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machine keeps working.
Machine wants to control but Nichols postures up.

Machine tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nichols wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Machine goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Machine clinches up with Nichols and pushes him back against the cage.
Machine lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Machine darts in and clinches Nichols up against the cage.

Machine has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nichols uses from the top position.

Machine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Nichols wants to hold on but Machine pushes him away.
Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nichols. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Machine lands a damaging elbow.

Nichols breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nichols.

Machine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Machine is looking to work some ground and pound but Nichols has wrist control.
Nichols lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Machine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nichols gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Machine uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Nichols drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Machine is looking for a triangle but Nichols pushes his legs off easily.
Machine is trying to control the position but Nichols postures up.

Nichols stands up from Machine's guard - Nichols perhaps looking for a knockout.

Machine feints and as Nichols raises his hands in defense, Machine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Machine is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nichols pulls Machine in to control the position.

Chindolly The Fast Machine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Nichols misses with a takedown attempt - Machine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Machine thows a body kick. Nichols tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Machine has managed to clinch.

Machine has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nichols regains guard immediately.
Nichols has control of Machine's left arm, preventing Machine from doing any damage.

Machine gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Machine leaves Nichols with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Nichols closes the distance and clinches.
Machine stalling in the clinch but Nichols improves position.
Nichols tries to score a body lock takedown but Machine shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heriberto Nichols. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Machine has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Nichols is trying to keep an underhook but Machine manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Machine misses with a head shot. Nichols uses the momentum to regain guard.
Machine postures up in Nichols's guard and throws a big left but Nichols blocks it.
Machine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Machine is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Machine shoots in and bounces Nichols off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Machine must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Chindolly The Fast Machine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Machine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
