Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shad Craft!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan De La Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craft tries to clinch up.
Craft misses with a double jab
and De La Cruz counters with a head kick. That will keep Craft thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Craft really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Craft has taken the fight to the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on De La Cruz's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Craft feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

De La Cruz is trying to push Craft away but Craft has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Craft walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. De La Cruz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De La Cruz pushes Craft off looking to stand but Craft dives back in and keeps control.

Craft drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but De La Cruz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Craft has De La Cruz in his guard.

Craft has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Craft is pulling down on De La Cruz's head. It's preventing any offense from De La Cruz, at least for the moment.
De La Cruz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Craft's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
