Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makoy Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Nuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Remember The Name - Fort Minor. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilas misses with a wild combination.
Gilas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gilas throws a body punch but Nuke moves out of range.
A combination from Gilas does no damage.

Gilas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nuke did well to prevent Gilas getting side control.
Gilas is controlling the pace.
Nuke regains full guard. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gilas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gilas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nuke is looking for a sweep.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gilas throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Gilas in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Gilas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Nuke sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Nuke wants to improve his position but Gilas is controlling well.
Gilas throws a strike but Nuke avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Gilas's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Nuke not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nuke can't keep his opponent in guard - Gilas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Gilas is trying to work for a kimura but Nuke is defending well.
Nuke wants to control but Gilas is keeping busy.

Gilas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nuke is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gilas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gilas's back!

Nuke throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Gilas is in bad spot here.

Will Nuke go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Gilas is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Gilas is trying to get back to his feet but Nuke has full control of the position and if anything, Gilas has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Gilas manages to reverse the position and now he's in Nuke's guard. Nice work there by Gilas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gilas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gilas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nuke is trying to defend but Gilas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Gilas has an Americana. Nuke didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gilas is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gilas hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
