Chavarria comes into a darkened arena with his song building. tom sawyer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tyron Lawler has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler throws a body punch but Chavarria moves out of range.
Chavarria closes the distance and pushes Lawler back into the cage.
Chavarria goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lawler prevents it.
Chavarria drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lawler fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lawler is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chavarria pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lawler tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Chavarria's elbow.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Chavarria.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chavarria breaks the clinch.
Lawler misses with a straight left.
Lawler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lawler lands a few punches from side control.
Chavarria manages to get back to half guard.

Chavarria is trying to get back to full guard.
Lawler stops Chavarria from getting back to his feet.
Lawler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lawler is controlling the pace.
Lawler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Chavarria is trying to stand up here but Lawler is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lawler thows a huge punch but Chavarria dodges it nicely.
Lawler is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chavarria is looking to escape.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chavarria gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lawler to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lawler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chavarria's head.

Lawler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Lawler is looking to stand up but Chavarria won't let him.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Chavarria tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawler swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lawler throws a head kick but Chavarria moves out of range.
Tyron Lawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chavarria takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Lawler rushes Chavarria with punches - Chavarria moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Chavarria goes down! Lawler follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
