Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bornas Lopette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Vasilyevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopette kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Back from the dead. Vasilyevich has chosen Billy Connolly - Ivan the terrible as his entrance music. Bornas Lopette has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bornas Lopette! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Vasilyevich! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasilyevich tried to score with a low kick but Lopette checks it. Lopette ducks under a wild hook from Vasilyevich. Lopette motions for Vasilyevich to come forward. Lopette throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A jab lands there for Lopette. Vasilyevich throws a lazy right hand but Lopette sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lopette throws a push kick but Vasilyevich slaps the foot to one side. Vasilyevich avoids a kick to the body.
Lopette takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A nice leg kick lands there from Lopette. Vasilyevich misses with a lunging right hand
and Lopette counters with a nice body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lopette's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vasilyevich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lopette scrambles back to his feet. Lopette throws a big shot that misses. Lopette throws a low kick but Vasilyevich avoids it. Lopette scores with the left hand. Vasilyevich knows he should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasilyevich moves out of range as Lopette throws a body kick.

Vasilyevich lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lopette at a distance.
Lopette avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Lopette pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lopette shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Lopette tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lopette is looking to land body kicks. Vasilyevich walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Vasilyevich moves out of range of the body kick. Jab, jab by Vasilyevich - just one landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopette connects with a body shot. Bornas Lopette seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lopette looks to throw a body kick and Vasilyevich counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lopette won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vasilyevich trying to control the action but Lopette is working from the bottom. Lopette being controlled for a moment. Vasilyevich thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Vasilyevich trying to control the position but Lopette is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Vasilyevich wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lopette, who protects the arm well. Vasilyevich throwing shots but missing, from side control. Vasilyevich connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lopette some visible discomfort.
Vasilyevich wants to take a breather but Lopette manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Vasilyevich. Vasilyevich postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lopette wants to sweep here but Vasilyevich controlling him for the moment. Vasilyevich trying to control the position from guard on top but Lopette is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vasilyevich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lopette is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lopette is working hard here to advance position. Lopette managing to control the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vasilyevich throwing strikes but missing. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ivan Vasilyevich will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lopette throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Vasilyevich counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vasilyevich throwing strikes from guard but Lopette blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vasilyevich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vasilyevich tries to free his leg and advance position but Lopette is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasilyevich sitting in guard here, content to control. Vasilyevich looking to sit in guard and control but Lopette gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lopette wants to control from the top but Vasilyevich keeps moving. Lopette has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasilyevich controlling Lopette's posture. Lopette forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lopette missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Vasilyevich regains full guard. Nicely done. Vasilyevich seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Vasilyevich avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vasilyevich being controlled here, momentarily. Lopette preventing the sweep. Lopette tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasilyevich is retaining full guard. Vasilyevich trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lopette has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Vasilyevich to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lopette is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Vasilyevich pulls down on the head and he's put Lopette to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ivan Vasilyevich! Ivan Vasilyevich is the new middleweight champion! In his post fight interview, Ivan Vasilyevich gave a big smile as he said 'Full Pretzel!'.
