The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nete closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salas to the mat! Salas manages to get full guard.
Nete pushes down on Salas's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Salas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Salas wants to control but Nete is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nete looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Nete prevents Salas from standing back up.
Nete tries to pass the half guard into mount. Salas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Nete tries to stand and escape but Salas is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salas is trying to maintain the position but Nete is very close to passing his half guard.
Nete is keen to just control but Salas is a slippery customer.

Nete is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salas wants to get back to full guard.
Nete controlling the pace.
Salas wants to get back to his feet.
Ground and pound from Nete.
Nete moves into full mount! Salas won't be happy about that!
Nete trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Nete tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Salas really is a fat lump.

Nete working for a guillotine from mount but Salas is in no mood to give up.

Nete manages to capitalize on a mistake by Salas to take his back!
Salas wants to escape the position.

Salas is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nete is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Salas has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Nete has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Salas taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Nete doesn't care though - he's delighted!
