Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Parmalee Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonton Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is RATM: Know Your Enemy. Hong has chosen Hong Entrance Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Parmalee Sackett!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tonton Hong!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sackett blocks a leg kick.
Hong fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hong swats away the attempt to clinch by Sackett.
Hong comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sackett fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hong is out of range.
Hong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hong misses with a body kick.
Hong feints and then cracks Sackett's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sackett down.
A clash of legs there as Hong blocks the low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sackett checks the leg kick nicely there.

Sackett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sackett not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Hong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sackett's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sackett's back!
Hong slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
I really don't envy Sackett right now.
Hong is not going to allow Sackett to sit and survive in this position.
Even with his hooks in, Hong manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Hong dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sackett. That did some damage!

Tonton Hong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hong thuds his right hand into Sackett's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Sackett with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hong to score with a decent uppercut.

and Sackett counters with a single leg into guard. Hong didn't expect that.

Hong wants to control from the top but Sackett keeps moving.
Hong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sackett is keeping the position for now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sackett swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sackett blocks a leg kick.
Hong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sackett tries to avoid it but Hong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sackett to the ground. Sackett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Parmalee Sackett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tonton Hong.

Hong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sackett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hong looks to land a right hand but Sackett moved out of range.
Sackett closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A clash of legs there as Sackett blocks the low kick.
Hong jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sackett avoids the body shot from Hong.
Sackett throws a leg kick which misses Hong's front leg but catches the back leg as Hong tries to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tonton Hong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sackett slaps away a takedown attempt from Hong, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hong looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sackett throws an overhand right that lands on Hong's shoulder, as Hong tries to avoid the shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's time! Sackett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hong throws the left hand but Sackett avoids the punch easily.
Sackett is looking to wear down Hong with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A jab lands there for Sackett.
Hong walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hong throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hong takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Hong is still in real trouble! Can Sackett finish him?
Sackett in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Hong looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Sackett turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
