Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes to the cage accompanied by Dezarie / Most High. Shephard has chosen You All Everybody as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch throws a right hand that Shephard ducks under and follows up with a left that Shephard also avoids with ease.

It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut.
Shephard tries to bum rush Lynch with a series of wild strikes but Lynch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

enabling Shephard to counter with a crisp jab.
Shephard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lynch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shephard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Lynch looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lynch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shephard was well out of range. Poor timing from Lynch.

Joshua Lynch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lynch walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lynch throws a sloppy head kick and Shephard moves out of range easily.
Shephard fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Shephard counters with a nice right hand that sends Lynch toppling to the canvas! Lynch scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Shephard finish him?!
It looks like Joshua Lynch has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Shephard counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Shephard connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lynch's hands.
Lynch misses with a lunging right hand
and Shephard counters with a big slam. Lynch looks out but Shephard is landing strikes to his unconscious opponent! Eventually the ref steps in to save Lynch from any more punishment. A brutal conclusion to the fight!

A less than humble Jack Shephard misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
