Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Punch Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weidman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. King Fantastic- West Coast Synthesizer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Weidman!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman slips a jab and a cross from Man.
A punch combination from Man misses.
Weidman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Man sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Man throws a body punch but Weidman moves out of range.
Weidman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Man misses with the combination.
No luck for Weidman with that takedown attempt.
Punch Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Weidman.
Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Man looks to land a combination but Weidman avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Man throws a series of punches but Weidman moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Weidman or perhaps it was just good defense by Man, which made it look bad.
Man pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Weidman back to the cage. Man follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Punch Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man connects with a looping right hand.
Man looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No joy there for Man, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Weidman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Man sprawls well initially but Weidman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Weidman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Man on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Man tries to get out of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Weidman drops an elbow to the side of Man's head.
Weidman is trying to control. Man wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Weidman throwing shots but Man is blocking nicely.
Man avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Weidman.
Man pushes Weidman off looking to stand but Weidman dives back in and keeps control.

Man wants to control but Weidman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Weidman wants to take a breather but Man is having none of it.
Man is defending against the submission attempts here by Weidman.
Man is trying to control but can't.
Weidman passes the guard and advances to mount!
Weidman is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Weidman extends the arm and Man is forced to tap!
