Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faust shoots in but no luck this time.
Faust has Ruiz up against the cage in a clinch.
Faust pulls Ruiz into guard.
Ruiz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Faust is breathing heavily.
Ruiz wants to control from the top but Faust keeps moving.
Ruiz with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ruiz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ruiz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Faust is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Faust has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles in the buildup to the fight.
Ruiz gets a clinch.
Faust keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ruiz's efforts to push away.
Ruiz tries to break free but Faust pushes him back against the cage.
Ruiz tries to circle away but Faust has him pinned against the cage.
Ruiz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Faust drags the fight down to the ground.
Ruiz is looking to stand up but Faust won't let him.
Faust keeping full guard, as Ruiz tries to pass.

Faust keeping moving, preventing Ruiz from controlling successfully.
Ruiz gets to his feet. Faust looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Ruiz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ruiz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Faust eats them both and turns towards Ruiz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Ruiz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Faust paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Faust shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ruiz as he avoids it easily.
Oscar Ruiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruiz moves into the clinch successfully.
Ruiz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Faust prevents it.
Ruiz manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Ruiz does no damage.

Ruiz cracks Faust with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ruiz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Faust paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ruiz tries to bum rush Faust with a series of wild strikes but Faust uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Faust circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ruiz sends Faust crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ruiz is motioning to the referee to let Faust up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Faust is rocked!
Ruiz closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Faust out cold! Faust corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
