Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Muntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muntz's entrance music is Threw It On The Ground. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nelson Muntz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Horton!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton shoots in for a takedown but Muntz shows good takedown defense.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Muntz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tim Horton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muntz jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Horton dives in and grabs Muntz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Muntz pushes down on Horton's head and hops out.

Horton shoots in looking for a takedown but Muntz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Horton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Muntz thuds his right hand into Horton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Horrible takedown attempt by Horton or perhaps it was just good defense by Muntz, which made it look bad.
Muntz takes a swing at Horton's ribcage but misses.

Muntz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Horton manages to avoid it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Horton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Muntz is looking to control Horton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Muntz avoid being mounted?
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muntz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That was a close round but Nelson Muntz did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horton has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Muntz should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Horton has tightened it up now! Muntz should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
