Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Strike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernando has chosen Miss Jackson as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Manny Fernando was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jordan Strike! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manny Fernando! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fernando fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fernando forces Strike back against the cage and clinches. Fernando has Strike pressed against the cage, preventing Strike from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Fernando gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fernando slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Strike wants to get back to his feet but Fernando is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Strike keeping moving, preventing Fernando from controlling successfully. Strike controls Fernando momentarily but Fernando frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strike keeping moving, preventing Fernando from controlling successfully. Strike is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fernando wants to pass the guard but Strike is keeping the position. Fernando is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Strike displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fernando. Strike stuffs the takedown attempt from Fernando. Fernando gets slowly back to his feet. Jordan Strike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny Fernando. Fernando fails with the takedown. Fernando uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Strike. Horrible takedown attempt by Fernando or perhaps it was just good defense by Strike, which made it look bad. Strike lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fernando circles away quickly and effectively. Fernando has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Strike is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strike jabs Fernando to the body, keeping him at a distance. Strike lands with an uppercut that bounces Fernando off the cage and back into range. Fernando manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Strike on his heels. He'll look to pass Strike's guard now, I'm sure. Strike doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Strike keeping full guard, as Fernando tries to pass. Fernando controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fernando trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Strike trying to keep a closed guard but Fernando is proving a slippery customer.
Fernando is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Fernando trying to control but Strike is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fernando is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fernando fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fernando uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Strike. Fernando uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Strike. Strike looks to land a left hand but Fernando moved out of range nicely. Jordan Strike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fernando shoots in and drives through. Strike sprawls well. Fernando moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Strike fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Fernando is out of range. Fernando shoots in for a takedown but Strike shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fernando wants to clinch up but Strike keeps it at a distance. Strike cracks Fernando with an open hand slap.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strike connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Strike scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Manny Fernando has been cut. Strike lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Strike lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fernando shoots in and drives through. Strike sprawls well. Fernando shoots in and gets a takedown into Strike's guard. Strike keeping moving, preventing Fernando from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fernando wants to pass the guard but Strike is keeping the position. Strike looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fernando is one step ahead there. Fernando trying to control the position from guard on top but Strike is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jordan Strike dominated that round. The cut man is working on Manny Fernando's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fernando on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fernando takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fernando fails with a takedown attempt. Strike uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Strike dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Strike scores with a hook to the body. Fernando takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Strike throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fernando on the side of the head. Fernando uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Strike. Strike lands a lovely overhand right. Strike stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Strike wants it to stay on the feet. Nice defenses there by Fernando. Manny Fernando is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fernando changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Strike tries to avoid it but Fernando manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Strike to the ground. Strike escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jordan Strike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny Fernando. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fernando ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Strike stuns Fernando with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strike misses with a looping left. Strike lands with a right hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fernando. Strike cracks a nice hook into Fernando's ribs. Strike throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fernando stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Strike lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Strike scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fernando on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fernando is rocked! Fernando avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fernando shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fernando takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fernando is still on wobbly legs! Can Strike finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fernando shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Strike as he avoids it easily. Fernando seems to have recovered his senses. Fernando is breathing heavily. Strike connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Jordan Strike is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fernando shoots in looking for a takedown but Strike manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fernando's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fernando dives in and grabs Strike's left leg, looking for a takedown. Strike pushes down on Fernando's head and hops out. Strike displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fernando. Strike connects with a nice cross there... Fernando is looking wobbly and Strike recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Fernando to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Strike jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jordan Strike! In defeat, Manny Fernando stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well done sir, you have beaten me. '.
