The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovalenko is looking to slow Hulahula down with leg kicks.
Kovalenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hulahula moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A punch lands to the side of Kovalenko 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hulahula works Kovalenko's body with a nice hook.
Kovalenko throws a right and a left that Hulahula avoids nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hulahula.
Hulahula looks to land a left hand but Kovalenko moved out of range nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Nikolai Kovalenko will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hulahula on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Nikolai Kovalenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hulahula leaves his chin hanging out and Kovalenko seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Hulahula crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
