Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Humberto Cooke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rigor McAdams!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McAdams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cooke was covering up waiting for the punch and McAdams finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cooke is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. McAdams presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

McAdams manages to break the clinch.
Rigor McAdams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McAdams fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cooke to the ground. McAdams is now in Cooke's guard.

Cooke pushes McAdams off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McAdams throws a hook but Cooke blocks it.
Cooke takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

McAdams shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Cooke manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. McAdams keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooke is trying to break the clinch but McAdams has him pressed against the cage.
Cooke has had enough of the clinch but McAdams keeps him there for the moment.

McAdams has Cooke pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McAdams pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cooke tumbling to the mat - McAdams dives into Cooke's guard.
McAdams looking to sit in guard and control but Cooke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McAdams working a defensive guard but Cooke manages to pass into side control anyway.

Cooke could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McAdams trying to remain calm as Cooke controls from the top position.

Cooke is working to tighten his grip on McAdams's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McAdams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cooke is really squeezing tight and eventually McAdams passes out! Cooke breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Humberto Cooke!
