PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacek Moczymorda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Modnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moczymorda kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Django Unchained OST - Ain't no grave (Johnny Cash). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Modnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Modnar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Moczymorda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Moczymorda gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Jacek Moczymorda has been cut.

Modnar rushes Moczymorda and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Modnar throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Moczymorda blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Moczymorda blocks a body shot from Modnar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Modnar is working Moczymorda over against the cage.
Modnar pushes Moczymorda back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Modnar throws a head punch that misses.
A head punch on the inside from Modnar fails to land.
Modnar lands with a right to the head.

Moczymorda has hold of one of Modnar's legs. Modnar is fighting the takedown attempt but Moczymorda gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Moczymorda is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Modnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moczymorda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Modnar is pulling down on Moczymorda's head. It's preventing any offense from Moczymorda, at least for the moment.
Moczymorda pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Modnar is keeping the position for now.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Moczymorda stands and throws Modnar's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Modnar is looking to regain half guard here but Moczymorda keeps moving and retains side control.

Moczymorda in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Modnar is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Jacek Moczymorda spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
