Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Crain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Dear Agony. Crain has chosen The Roots - Kool On as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyler Crain!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crain misses with a few strikes there.
Jones takes one on the button.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Crain.
Crain checks a low kick from Jones.
Crain waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Crain, right into the meat.

Crain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Jones counters with a head kick. That will keep Crain thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Crain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Crain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Crain sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Crain throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Crain ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target.
Crain throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it.
Jones misses with a head kick.

and Crain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Crain is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Crain connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jones lands with a nice body kick.
Crain stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken.
Crain looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range.

and Crain counters with a head kick. That will keep Jones thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Crain gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Crain throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Jones catches Crain with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Crain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Crain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Crain uses good head movement to avoid it.

Crain moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.

Crain takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Crain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Crain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Crain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Crain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Crain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Jones blocks a head kick by Crain.
Crain checks a low kick from Jones.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones moves forwards but Crain connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones misses the jab.
Crain might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Crain throws a chopping leg kick but Jones manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Crain cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but Anderson Jones did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

I would just about give that final round to Tyler Crain.
Well Crain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
