Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amir Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Mcginty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amir Rutten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Mcginty! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcginty with a jab. Mcginty throws a big shot that misses. Mcginty swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rutten walks into a jab. Mcginty misses with a straight right. Mcginty throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rutten ducks under a wild hook from Mcginty. Mcginty lands a body shot.
Mcginty fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rutten manages to avoid it. Mcginty throws a hook to the side of Rutten's head but Rutten sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Some wild striking there from Mcginty.
Rutten gets a clinch. Rutten is looking to take this one to the mat. Rutten pulls guard. Mcginty stops Rutten from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten is adopting a defensive guard. Mcginty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rutten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mcginty won't allow Rutten to get back to his feet. Rutten trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Rutten looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rutten wants to get back to his feet but Mcginty is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rutten tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A big left from Mcginty misses. Rutten tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mcginty swivels and escapes. Rutten avoids the body shot from Mcginty.
Rutten gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rutten lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Scott Mcginty has been cut. Rutten looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amir Rutten. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice glancing elbow lands by Rutten. Rutten jumps into guard, dragging Mcginty to the mat.
Rutten is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Rutten really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcginty won't allow Rutten to sweep him here. Rutten wants to stand up but Mcginty is controlling him. Rutten has control of Mcginty's left arm, preventing Mcginty from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rutten is looking to stand up but Mcginty isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Rutten tries to move into range but Mcginty moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcginty swings for the body but Rutten moves out of range.
Scott Mcginty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcginty scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rutten doesn't seem bothered though. Mcginty loads up on a big right hand but Rutten slips the punch. Rutten shoots in for a takedown but Mcginty shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Mcginty dominated that round. The cut man is working on Scott Mcginty's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rutten tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mcginty defends well and Rutten ends up having to push Mcginty into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mcginty blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rutten unloads a knee to the mid-section. Mcginty lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Rutten scores a nice knee to the body.

Mcginty prevents the takedown attempt.
Mcginty is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amir Rutten. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rutten lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Mcginty is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rutten has Mcginty pressed against the cage.

Rutten changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mcginty fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mcginty stuffs the takedown. Rutten tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcginty swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rutten shoots in but Mcginty avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rutten keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mcginty. Rutten rushes Mcginty and presses him up against the cage. Rutten scores with a knee to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rutten creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mcginty's defenses. Rutten lands a nice elbow. Rutten lands a nice elbow from the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Mcginty is pressed up against the cage. Rutten has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mcginty down to the mat. Mcginty avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Rutten shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcginty sprawls well. Mcginty wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rutten gets slowly back to his feet. Amir Rutten is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mcginty keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mcginty throws a jab when Rutten was well out of range. No luck for Rutten with that takedown attempt. Rutten is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcginty throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nice jab there from Mcginty. Nice defenses there by Rutten. Rutten has taken the fight to the clinch.

That has opened up Scott Mcginty's cut even more. Rutten putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mcginty in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Mcginty prevents a body shot from Rutten. Rutten lands an elbow just above Mcginty 's eye.
Mcginty is rocked! Rutten lands an elbow that stopped Mcginty in his tracks for a moment. Mcginty is still on wobbly legs! Can Rutten finish him?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The two fighters are battling for control here. Mcginty trying to break out of Rutten's Thai clinch. Rutten unloads with a massive knee right up the middle that drops Mcginty to the canvas! He's out cold! Wow, what a knee by Rutten!
