Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Hapaloua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cain Velasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Travis Hapaloua! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez tries to clinch but Hapaloua moves out of range. Hapaloua moves into the clinch. Hapaloua stalling the fight.
Hapaloua breaks the clinch.
Velasquez closes the distance and clinches up with Hapaloua, looking for a takedown. Velasquez pushes Hapaloua against the cage but Hapaloua circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hapaloua closes the distance and pushes Velasquez back into the cage. Hapaloua is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hapaloua gets underhooks to prevent Velasquez's takedown attempt.
Hapaloua is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hapaloua. Hapaloua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Velasquez avoids the head kick by Hapaloua.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hapaloua moves into the clinch. Velasquez can't get the takedown.
Velasquez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Velasquez prevents a body shot from Hapaloua. Hapaloua can't find room to land a body shot as Velasquez controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Velasquez's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hapaloua stops a takedown attempt from Velasquez.
Hapaloua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Velasquez tries for a takedown but Hapaloua sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Velasquez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Velasquez is breathing heavily. Hapaloua connects with a high kick. Hapaloua scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A head kick misses from Hapaloua. Hapaloua sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Velasquez to the ground! Hapaloua dives into full mount looking to finish!
It looks like Cain Velasquez has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hapaloua lands a nice shot to the head. Hapaloua landing shots from mount. Hapaloua tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hapaloua pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hapaloua working Velasquez over with strikes here. Hapaloua controlling from the full mount. Velasquez taking shots to the head. Hapaloua looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Velasquez covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
