Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seymore Taps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Shoota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seymore Taps!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Shoota!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taps shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shoota's guard.
Taps trying to control the position from guard on top but Shoota is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Taps prevents Shoota from getting back to his feet.
Taps looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Taps thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Taps drops back looking for a leg! Shoota is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shoota manages to kick Taps off! Taps jumps back into Shoota's guard.
Taps might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Taps wants to control from the top but Shoota keeps moving.

Taps drops back looking for a leg! Shoota is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shoota manages to kick Taps off! Taps jumps back into Shoota's guard.
Shoota is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shoota wants to stand and escape but Taps is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Taps decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Shoota pushes Taps off looking to stand but Taps dives back in and keeps control.

Taps is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shoota is defending against the submission attempts here by Taps.
Shoota really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taps. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Taps is breathing heavily.
Taps trying to mount his opponent but Shoota defends it.
Shoota is staying active underneath Taps, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shoota can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shoota wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shoota misses with a few strikes there.
Shoota misses with the combination.
Shoota cracks Taps with an open hand slap.
Shoota misses with a hook. Taps ducked under it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shoota cracks Taps with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Taps shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Taps showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Taps stops Shoota from getting back to his feet.

Taps is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shoota is just riding it out for now. Taps eventually gives up the hold.
Shoota wants to get back to his feet.
Taps works his way into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Taps passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Shoota!
Shoota wants to try and get back to his feet.
Taps controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seymore Taps dominated that round.
That's time! Taps's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Taps moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Taps bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Shoota is pushing Taps's head away, looking to escape. Taps manages to hold on to the position though.
Taps trying to control the action but Shoota is working from the bottom.

Taps is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shoota is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Shoota is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Taps asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Taps looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shoota is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Shoota wants to get back to his feet but Taps is dominant here and he's now got Shoota's back!

Taps working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Shoota is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Taps has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Shoota taps out!
