Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Rogers! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson throws a head kick that misses. Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rogers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rogers moves into the clinch. Anderson tries to break the clinch but Rogers is controlling the position. Anderson is looking to break free of the clinch but Rogers has double underhooks. Anderson is trying to break free. Rogers lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Anderson backwards. Anderson prevents the takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rogers connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Anderson's hands. Rogers blocks a head kick by Anderson.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Anderson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rogers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rogers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson misses with a low kick. Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Rogers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rogers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rogers tries to stand but Anderson is controlling from the bottom. Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Anderson is breathing heavily. Rogers has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Anderson is proving hard to escape from. Rogers wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position. Rogers stopping the sweep attempt from Anderson. Anderson looking for a guillotine here but Rogers defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson has a closed guard, preventing Rogers from standing up. Anderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rogers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers wanted to stand there but Anderson had control of the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rogers thows a big elbow that misses. Anderson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jason Anderson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Anderson motions for Rogers to come forward. Anderson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Anderson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rogers moves out of range of the leg kick from Anderson. Anderson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Rogers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Rogers working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A head kick misses from Anderson. Rogers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Anderson to the mat! Anderson manages to get full guard. Anderson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rogers. Anderson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rogers has his hands clasped together but Anderson extends an breaks Rogers's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Anderson.
