Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Maanpohja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holy Diver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diver comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Holy Diver by Dio kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johannes Maanpohja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Holy Diver! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maanpohja shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Diver napping and manages to drive through into side control! Maanpohja misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Diver's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Maanpohja working the ground and pound but Diver is defending the strikes. Diver is trying to get back to his feet. Maanpohja wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diver, who protects the arm well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maanpohja working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diver gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Diver wants to get back to his feet. Maanpohja is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diver defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maanpohja is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Maanpohja is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Diver blocking the ground and pound attempt from Maanpohja. Maanpohja passes to side control. Maanpohja tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Diver tries to buck Maanpohja off but Maanpohja is having none of it. Maanpohja creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Diver sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Maanpohja in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Diver is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Johannes Maanpohja! After the fight, Johannes Maanpohja was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
