Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Spartan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Sutcliffe!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutcliffe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spartan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sutcliffe stuffs the takedown attempt from Spartan. Spartan gets slowly back to his feet.
Spartan moves in looking to clinch but Sutcliffe pushes him off.
Sutcliffe throws the left hand but Spartan avoids the punch easily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sutcliffe tries to circle away but Spartan has him pinned against the cage.
Spartan pulls Sutcliffe into guard.
Spartan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sutcliffe is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sutcliffe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Spartan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sutcliffe has Spartan in his guard.
Sutcliffe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spartan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spartan trying to control the position from guard on top but Sutcliffe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spartan tries to free his leg and advance position but Sutcliffe is retaining full guard.
Spartan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sutcliffe's guard.
Spartan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sutcliffe keeping moving, preventing Spartan from controlling successfully.
Sutcliffe is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Sutcliffe thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Spartan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Spartan wants to control from the top but Sutcliffe keeps moving.
Sutcliffe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Spartan is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Sutcliffe misses with a straight left.
Sutcliffe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sutcliffe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Spartan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sutcliffe drops Spartan with a straight right hand, right on the button! Sutcliffe follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
