The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Ike Turner has been cut.
Baird tests Turner's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Baird catches Turner napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Turner to the canvas!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baird throws a strike but Turner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That was a close round but I would say that Macadam Baird will probably get the nod.

and Turner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Turner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Turner throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Baird's head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Baird doesn't seem bothered though.
It looks like Baird has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Turner clobbers Baird with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Baird pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Turner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Baird is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Turner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Baird throws out the jab.

Turner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Turner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Baird.
Turner avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Baird shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Turner sprawls well. Turner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baird gets slowly back to his feet.

Ike Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Baird looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
