Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between ripp savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, ripp savage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Johnson! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! savage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but savage wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson is not content to let savage control the position. Johnson wants to control but savage postures up. Johnson tries to bench press savage off him but savage keeps the position. A lull in the action here as savage stalls from top position. Johnson is trying to improve his position. savage is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. savage misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but savage paws at him with a jab and circles away. Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Johnson throws a right and a left that savage avoids nicely. Johnson clinches but savage breaks the clinch and savage counters with a shoot takedown. Johnson fights it but they end up in guard.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. savage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. savage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson trying to control the position.

savage sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with savage in particular looking to stall. savage has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. savage looking to pass the half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson regains full guard. Nicely done. Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but savage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That was a close second round but I would say that ripp savage will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. savage is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. savage sitting and controlling from the half guard. Johnson gets back to full guard.

Johnson regains half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with savage in particular looking to stall. Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Johnson controls savage momentarily but savage frees himself.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. savage works his way back into a safe position though. Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. savage is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Johnson working for a triangle but savage defends it easily.
Jack Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! ripp savage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Johnson trying to control the position.
