Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Rosales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sergio Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pedro Rosales ! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rosales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rosales gets back to half guard. Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silva working over Rosales with some ground and pound. Rosales looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rosales has managed to free his arm - good work. Rosales is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rosales wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosales tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Silva has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Rosales tries to get back to half guard but can't. Silva landing strikes from the mount and Rosales is in trouble! Rosales tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away. Silva working the ground and pound effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Silva has a takedown stuffed. Silva is looking to clinch but Rosales is avoiding it.
Rosales tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rosales somewhat. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.

Rosales shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rosales 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Silva misses with a leg kick. Silva shoots in for a double leg but Rosales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rosales swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva. Horrible takedown attempt by Rosales or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva, which made it look bad. Rosales shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet. Rosales looks winded! Rosales throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosales darts in trying to clinch and Silva moves into the clinch. Rosales wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rosales is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Silva is defending well. Silva decides to pull guard. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Rosales is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva is trying to drag Rosales to the mat but Rosales just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Silva fails to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rosales wants to stand but Silva is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Rosales is trying to keep Silva in close.

Rosales keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Rosales gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rosales trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rosales is aware though and is defending well. Rosales trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Silva fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rosales throws a lazy body kick and Silva counters with a head kick. That will keep Rosales thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Sergio Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rosales can do to turn this around? Silva is looking to clinch but Rosales is avoiding it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rosales looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Rosales slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat. Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sergio Silva will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Silva is looking to advance position but Rosales won't allow it. Silva decides to return to a standing position. Rosales moves into the clinch. Silva is stalling here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rosales tries a body shot but Silva blocks it.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rosales tries to clinch and Silva counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rosales 's knee momentarily. Rosales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively. Nice takedown defense from Rosales . No joy for Silva on that attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A bone on bone clash there as Silva blocks the leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosales tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Silva misses with a takedown attempt and Rosales counters with a two punch combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rosales finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rosales works Silva's body with a nice hook. Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Rosales sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rosales shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rosales shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rosales showed some decent athleticism there. Rosales content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
