Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Rosales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rosales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rosales gets back to half guard.
Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silva working over Rosales with some ground and pound. Rosales looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rosales has managed to free his arm - good work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rosales is aware though and is defending well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Silva counters with a head kick. That will keep Rosales thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That was a close second round but I would say that Sergio Silva will probably get the nod.
