Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Silas Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Tap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silas Joyce has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Silas Joyce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Tap! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tap lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tap.
It looks like Silas Joyce has been cut. Tap shoots in for a takedown but Joyce shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Joyce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tap darts in and clinches Joyce up against the cage. Tap using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Joyce has had enough of the clinch but Tap keeps him there for the moment. Joyce is trying to break the clinch but Tap has him pressed against the cage. Tap pulls Joyce into guard.
Tap wants to sweep here but Joyce controlling him for the moment. Tap looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tap working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Joyce has passed into half guard!
That's one minute gone in the round. Joyce wants to take a breather but Tap is having none of it. Tap is trying to stand.
Tap is holding on to half guard well. Tap is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Joyce is looking for a kimura but Tap is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Joyce to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tap trying to get back to full guard but Joyce takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Joyce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tap is looking to improve his position but Joyce isn't that keen on the idea. Tap manages to regain half guard. Good work. Tap is trying to stand up here but Joyce is controlling him well. Tap trying to hold on to Joyce's head to control him but Joyce postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tap is trying to get back to full guard. Tap moves into full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tap pushes Joyce up against the cage in a clinch. Joyce working hard to break the clinch. Joyce is trying to break free. Tap is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Joyce can't fight it off and eventually Tap manages to take the fight to the floor. Joyce looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tap trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joyce keeping moving, preventing Tap from controlling successfully. Tap working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Tap trying to control but Joyce is working from the bottom. Tap decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Joyce, up you get! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fight moves into the clinch position. Joyce is trying to force a seperation but Tap has the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Tap dominated that round. The cut man is working on Silas Joyce's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tap fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joyce, pushing him back against the cage. Joyce tries to break free but Tap pushes him back against the cage. Joyce is trying to break free. Tap can't get the takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Joyce's face as he tries to break the clinch. Joyce takes a knee right on the jaw!
Tap is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Tap has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tap keeps control of Joyce as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Joyce is trying to force a seperation but Tap has the dominant position. Tap prevents Joyce from breaking the clinch. Tap pulls guard successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tap controls Joyce momentarily but Joyce frees himself. Tap pulls Joyce in close to his closed guard and prevents Joyce from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tap throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Tap wants to sweep here but Joyce controlling him for the moment. Tap is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Tap wants to sweep here but Joyce controlling him for the moment. Tap scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tap shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tap misses with a looping left. The fight stays on the outside here - Joyce looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tap closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Joyce quickly recovers to half guard. Tap sitting and controlling from the half guard. Tap looks to land a strike but Joyce avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joyce looking for a sweep. Not yet Joyce, not yet. Joyce working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tap. Joyce is adopting a defensive guard. Tap looking to sit in guard and control but Joyce gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tap striking off his back but it's not causing Joyce any problems. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tap can do anything to dispel that myth. Tap is pulling down on Joyce's head to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tap wants to sweep here but Joyce controlling him for the moment. Tap has an active guard here but Joyce has managed to pass into half guard.
Tap misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Mr Tap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Silas Joyce's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Tap throws a front kick aimed at Joyce's knee but Joyce avoids it well. Tap throws a combination that misses and Joyce counters with a three punch combo that has Tap backing up. Tap nods at Joyce to acknowledge the strikes. Tap tries for a takedown but Joyce circles away easily and Joyce counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tap pushes Joyce off looking to stand but Joyce dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tap is refusing to be controlled, as Joyce sits in half guard. Tap moves into full guard.

Tap postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Joyce is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tap, into his guard. Joyce trying to control the position from guard on top but Tap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tap pulls Joyce in close to his closed guard and prevents Joyce from doing any damage or advancing position. Joyce postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tap wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Tap working a defensive guard but Joyce manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tap is not content to let Joyce control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tap. Tap working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tap taking a breather here.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Silas Joyce. Well Tap has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
