Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Franklyn Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Franklyn Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Francisco Vargas!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vargas rushes Walker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Walker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Vargas gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Walker regains guard.
Vargas trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vargas throwing strikes but missing.
Walker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vargas is aware though and is defending well.
Walker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vargas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vargas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vargas distracts Walker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vargas scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Walker has his foot on Vargas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vargas works his way back into a safe position though.
Walker is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Vargas frees his head nicely. Oh but Walker has switched to an armbar! Vargas is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
