Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Yeung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jong Un Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yeung comes to the cage accompanied by Fluffy. Derrick Yeung has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Derrick Yeung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jong Un Kim! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Yeung seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Yeung motions for Kim to come forward. Yeung throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A nice inside leg kick there by Kim. That's going to slow Yeung down. Yeung swinging wildly here.
Yeung misses with a body shot.
Yeung sizes up Kim with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kim misses with a wild body shot. Nice defenses there by Yeung. Yeung throws a right and a left that Kim avoids nicely. Kim throws a push kick but Yeung slaps the foot to one side. Kim scores with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yeung dodges the punch combination from Kim.
Yeung misses with a double jab.
Yeung has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kim. Jong Un Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yeung lands a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim connects with a leg kick. Yeung looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Left hook, right uppercut from Yeung. Yeung throws a front kick aimed at Kim's knee but Kim avoids it well. Kim looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Yeung does a little dance to reset his feet. Kim throws the kick towards the body but Yeung avoids it. Kim slips a jab and a cross from Yeung.

Yeung stalks Kim and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kim's face. Kim staggers backwards, shaken. Kim fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yeung has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Yeung throws a right hand that Kim ducks under and follows up with a left that Kim also avoids with ease. This has been an exciting period of action! Yeung throws a series of punches but Kim avoids them all with ease. Kim lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Derrick Yeung has been cut. Yeung on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kim slips a jab and a cross from Yeung.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yeung misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kim lands a jab to the head.
Kim throws a half hearted mid kick. Kim fails with an attempt to clinch.
A leg kick checked by Yeung. Yeung throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yeung takes a swing at Kim's ribcage but misses. Kim throws a body punch but Yeung moves out of range. Kim throws a jab when Yeung was well out of range. Yeung works Kim's body with a nice hook. Yeung drives through with a takedown into guard. Kim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yeung's guard. Kim passes into half guard. Kim is just content to waste time from the top position. Yeung takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yeung is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Yeung pulls Kim in close to his closed guard and prevents Kim from doing any damage or advancing position. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yeung is keeping the position for now. Yeung will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kim wants to control from the top but Yeung keeps moving. Yeung pulls Kim in close to his closed guard and prevents Kim from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kim wants to control from the top but Yeung keeps moving. Yeung is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kim is stalling in the full guard. Yeung keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Derrick Yeung will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Derrick Yeung's cut. That's time! Yeung's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Yeung swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kim is looking to land body kicks. Yeung throws a right and a left that both miss. Yeung stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kim. Kim checks a low kick from Yeung. Kim feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yeung's calf. Yeung on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. An inside leg kick lands from Kim. Kim scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Yeung is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yeung falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kim counters with an inside leg kick. Yeung throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kim ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Yeung throws a right hand that Kim ducks under and follows up with a left that Kim also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yeung walks into a left hand. Kim throws a push kick but Yeung slaps the foot to one side. Kim fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yeung. Kim cracks the inside of Yeung's front leg. Kim misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jong Un Kim seems to be getting the better of the standup. Yeung throws a combination. Kim tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kim slaps away a takedown attempt from Yeung, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kim throws a half hearted mid kick. Yeung shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kim is trying to defend but Yeung finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yeung prevents Kim from improving his position. Kim keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim is controlling Yeung's position as best he can from this difficult position. Yeung throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kim to regain full guard. Kim wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Yeung throws a big right hand that misses. Yeung postures up.
Yeung working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kim had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yeung defends it easily. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kim holds on and takes a little breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yeung wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving. Yeung has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kim has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yeung can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Derrick Yeung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kim is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kim is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yeung is aware though and is defending well. Kim is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Yeung trying to control but Kim is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yeung is looking to wear down Kim with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kim keeps Yeung at a distance using the push kick. Kim fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yeung manages to avoid it. Yeung will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kim thuds a left hand into Yeung's body. Derrick Yeung is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kim fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kim lands a nice shot to the body.
Yeung misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kim finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jong Un Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yeung throws a right and a left that Kim avoids nicely. Yeung throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Yeung has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derrick Yeung. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kim scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jong Un Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Derrick Yeung's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Yeung takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Yeung lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Yeung. A kick lands to the mid section there for Kim. Yeung throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kim counters by clinching up. Yeung being controlled against the cage. Yeung wants to get back to striking at distance but Kim won't allow it.
Kim stalling in the clinch but Yeung improves position. Yeung is looking to break free of the clinch but Kim has double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim has Yeung pressed against the cage, preventing Yeung from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Yeung takes a shot to the head. Yeung misses with a short punch on the inside. Kim digs a right hand underneath Yeung's ribcage. Yeung let out a lung full of air as it connected. Yeung is trying to break the clinch but Kim is controlling him. A shot in the inside from Kim.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yeung being controlled against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Yeung's face as he tries to break the clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kim. Yeung is trying to break the clinch but Kim is controlling him. A nice right hand lands inside from Kim. Kim misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Yeung tries to circle away but Kim has him pinned against the cage. Yeung swings wildly with an uppercut but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it. A shot in the inside from Kim. Kim lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Yeung working hard to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim tries to throw a body punch but Yeung avoids it by throwing Kim back against the cage. A shot in the inside from Kim. Kim tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kim lands a left hand.

Kim lands with a light punch inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yeung is trying to force a seperation but Kim has the dominant position. Yeung breaks from the clinch.
Kim lands with a nice body punch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kim tries to clinch there but Yeung circles away.
A punch combination from Yeung misses. Kim tries to clinch up. Kim misses the shot to the body. Some bone on bone action there as Kim checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Kim swings for the body but Yeung moves out of range.
Yeung shoots for a double leg takedown but Kim sprawls well. He's pushed Yeung's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Good leg kick by Kim there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kim turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kim connects with an inside leg kick. Some wild striking there from Yeung.
Yeung looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Yeung changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kim tries to avoid it but Yeung manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kim to the ground. Kim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Yeung looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derrick Yeung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim lands a nice looking body kick. Kim lands a lovely overhand right. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yeung throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yeung shoots in looking for a takedown. Kim tries to sprawl out of it but Yeung keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Yeung misses with a wild body shot. Kim moves into the clinch. Kim putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Yeung in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Kim just leaning against Yeung, taking a breather. Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kim stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Good body shot from Kim.

And that's the end of the fight! Jong Un Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kim has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jong Un Kim! A determined Jong Un Kim didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
