Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Stanfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Layser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Stanfield and Lex Layser. Stanfield comes into the arena with Up Down blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lex Layser was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lex Layser! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Layser does it's job there. Stanfield bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Layser fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Layser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stanfield circles away. Stanfield scores with a jab. Layser acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Layser throws a half hearted mid kick. Stanfield swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Layser. Stanfield will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A big right from Layser misses. Stanfield defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Layser. Stanfield swinging wildly here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Layser misses with a straight right. Layser takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stanfield throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Layser throws an overhand right that lands on Stanfield's shoulder, as Stanfield tries to avoid the shot. Stanfield connects with a jab.
Layser is rocked! Stanfield lands an uppercut, right on the button! Layser tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marlo Stanfield! Marlo Stanfield decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
