Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McLachlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darwin Strapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McLachlan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Verve - 'Love is Noise'. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strapp darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Strapp keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McLachlan.
Strapp misses with a body shot.
McLachlan jabbing away but nothing is landing.

enabling McLachlan to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Darwin Strapp has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLachlan wants to sweep here but Strapp controlling him for the moment.

Strapp throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Strapp is keen to just control but McLachlan is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McLachlan is looking for a sweep. Strapp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
