Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cokorda Raka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddie Wallace has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freddie Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cokorda Raka!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raka tries to bum rush Wallace with a series of wild strikes but Wallace uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Raka, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Raka against the cage but Raka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Raka clinches up with Wallace and pushes him back against the cage.
Wallace is trying to pull guard but Raka turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Raka is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wallace can't fight it off and eventually Raka manages to take the fight to the floor. Wallace looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Wallace postures up in Raka's guard and throws a big left but Raka blocks it.
Raka controlling the position.
Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raka has momentary wrist control but Wallace slips an elbow through the middle.

Raka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Raka avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Wallace decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Raka, up you get!
Wallace darts in looking for a takedown but Raka gets double underhooks and turns Wallace into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddie Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head punch on the inside from Wallace fails to land.

Raka wants the takedown. Wallace is fighting it off but Raka persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wallace's guard against the cage.
Wallace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Raka passes Wallace's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Raka perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Raka prevents Wallace from improving his position.
Wallace is working hard here to advance position.
Wallace is in trouble now - Raka has advanced to mount!
Raka wants to control the pace but Wallace is squirming around nicely.

Raka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wallace can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Wallace tries to hold on but Raka pushes him away.
Raka misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Raka wants to pass the guard but Wallace is keeping the position.

Raka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wallace's guard.
Wallace throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Raka manages to pass to side control.

Raka slows the pace down.
Wallace tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Wallace tries to buck Raka off but Raka is having none of it.
Wallace is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Raka is controlling him well.
Wallace is looking to regain half guard here but Raka keeps moving and retains side control.
Raka tries to advance to mount but can't.
Raka staying calm.
Raka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wallace keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Raka staying calm.
Wallace tries to bench press Raka off him but Raka keeps the position.
Raka tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wallace's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace can't do much from the bottom here.
Wallace is looking to reverse the position.

Wallace is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Raka has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Raka closes the distance and clinches.
Raka can't break the clinch.

Raka has picked Wallace up - he's going for a ride! Raka dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wallace trying to control but Raka postures up.
Wallace is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Raka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Raka wants to pass to mount but Wallace is defending the position.
Wallace moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Raka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Raka is standing up over Wallace. Wallace looks to escape but Raka dives into side control.
Wallace is looking to reverse the position.
Raka trying to control the action but Wallace is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wallace is trying to buck Raka off.

Cokorda Raka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Raka trying to move into half guard but instead Wallace has managed to sweep!

Wallace is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wallace throwing strikes but missing.
Wallace throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raka works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wallace throws a strike but Raka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Wallace is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Raka is aware though and is defending well.
Wallace wants to improve his position but instead Raka has moved into half guard.

Wallace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Raka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Raka's back!
Raka finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.

Cokorda Raka is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Raka is really stuck here.
Freddie Wallace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Raka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
