Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ardian Kurniawan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ardian Kurniawan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frank moves into the clinch.

Kurniawan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kurniawan gets caught napping as Frank dives in and scores a takedown. Kurniawan manages to retain guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Frank accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Kurniawan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kurniawan shoots in looking for a takedown but Frank manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kurniawan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kurniawan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Frank eats them both and turns towards Kurniawan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Ardian Kurniawan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kurniawan leaves Frank with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Frank decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kurniawan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Frank tries to clinch up but Kurniawan circles away and keeps his distance.
Frank is looking to clinch but Kurniawan is avoiding it.
Frank dives in for a single leg takedown but Kurniawan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kurniawan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kurniawan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Frank pinned against the cage. Frank gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jayson Frank.
