Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Oliver Queen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Holm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Queen! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holm bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Queen's head. Holm looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Queen delivers a nice body kick. Queen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Holm. Holm dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Queen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Holm. Holm stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Holm scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Holm moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A good leg kick by Queen. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Holm misses with a straight right. Holm throws a leg kick that is checked and Queen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Queen preventing the sweep. Queen lands a couple of elbows. Queen stopping the sweep attempt from Holm. Queen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Holm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Queen is one step ahead there. Queen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Queen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Holm keeping full guard, as Queen tries to pass. Holm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Queen throws a big right hand that misses. Holm controlling the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Holm tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Queen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Holm has time to react. Queen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Holm. Holm connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Queen's hands. Queen scores with a jab to the head.
Holm lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Queen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Queen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Holm misses with a leg kick. Holm thuds a left hand into Queen's body. Holm stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Queen. Jacob Holm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Queen throws a big shot that misses. Queen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Queen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Queen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Holm. Queen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Holm regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Queen with a nice head shot there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Queen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Queen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Holm keeping moving, preventing Queen from controlling successfully. Queen throws a big right hand that misses. Holm manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Queen manages to get himself to full guard.
Queen has his foot on Holm's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Holm works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Queen looking to control.
Queen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Queen tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Queen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Queen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Holm's guard. Holm is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Holm trying to control the pace. Holm tries to pass to full mount but Queen defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Oliver Queen will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Holm misses with a straight right. Queen lands a front kick. Jacob Holm is winning the standup battle so far. Holm throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Holm staying out of range there. Holm takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Holm displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Queen throws out the jab. Queen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Queen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Queen thuds a left hand into Holm's body. Queen throws an overhand right that lands on Holm's shoulder, as Holm tries to avoid the shot. Holm misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Queen.
Queen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Holm as he jumps to the side. Queen lands a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Queen clobbers Holm with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Holm misses with a body shot.
Holm tests Queen's chin there with a solid looking shot. A nice leg kick lands there from Holm. Holm throws a body shot but no joy. Queen misses with a hook. Holm throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Queen slips under a jab from Holm. Holm moves out of range of the body kick. Queen throws a low kick but Holm moves out of range easily. Holm looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jacob Holm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Holm bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Holm just misses with a punch to the body.
Holm walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Queen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holm throws a right and a left that both miss. Holm looks to throw the jab but Queen is out of range. Queen takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Queen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Holm. That one must have hurt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A slapping leg kick lands for Queen.
Holm works Queen's body with a nice hook. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Holm. A head kick misses from Holm. A clash of legs there as Queen blocks the low kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Queen checks a leg kick. Queen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holm sprawls well initially but Queen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Oliver Queen has got the better of the ground game so far. Queen wants to control but Holm is keeping him busy. Holm is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Queen is thwarting Holm's attempts to control the position. Queen wants to free his trapped foot but Holm is holding on for dear life with his legs. Queen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Queen is thwarting Holm's attempts to control the position. Holm tries to roll over but Queen keeps him under control. Queen thows a huge punch but Holm dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Holm wants to control but Queen is keeping busy.

Queen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Queen trying to control the action but Holm is working from the bottom. Queen tries to advance to mount but Holm denies him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oliver Queen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jacob Holm's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Queen throws out a leg kick but Holm moves out of range and Queen only half commits. Holm goes for a high kick. It partially lands. A bone on bone clash there as Holm blocks the leg kick.

Holm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Queen is one step ahead there. Queen scoring with some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holm pulls Queen in close to prevent any damage. Holm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Queen is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Holm wants to control from the top but Queen keeps moving. Queen is trying to control the position but Holm postures up. Queen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Holm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Queen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Holm sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holm does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holm throws a leg kick but Queen sees it coming and checks it nicely. Holm uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Queen has time to react. Queen throws a shot to the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Queen. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Holm throws a quick inside leg kick. Queen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Queen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Holm throws a leg kick and Queen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Queen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Holm's head. Queen tries to free his leg and advance position but Holm is retaining full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Holm keeping moving, preventing Queen from controlling successfully. Queen won't allow Holm to sweep him here. Queen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Holm controls Queen momentarily but Queen frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Queen chips away with some ground and pound. Queen trying to control but Holm is working from the bottom. Queen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holm swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jacob Holm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Queen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Queen won't allow Holm to sweep him here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A swing and a miss from Queen. Queen looks for the body kick but Holm saw that one coming. Queen scores with a nice head shot. Queen avoids the head kick by Holm.
And that's the end of the fight! Oliver Queen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Queen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
