Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boyer in his tracks.
Boyer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ventura bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boyer's head.
Ventura connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Boyer momentarily.
Boyer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ventura. Boyer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ventura swinging wildly here.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ventura.
Boyer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ventura throws out the jab.
Boyer defending well as Ventura loads up on a big left hand.
Jayy Ventura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ventura connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Boyer is trying to work for a kimura but Ventura is defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boyer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Boyer is just content to waste time from the top position. Ventura takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Boyer is in close to Ventura's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Ventura turns into Boyer and is now in his guard.
Ventura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boyer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boyer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boyer!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ventura is looking for a sweep.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Boyer is looking to take a break and control but Ventura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ventura regains half guard there - taking advantage of Boyer's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ventura jabs Boyer right on the nose. Boyer blinks but takes it well.
Ventura throws a hook but Boyer blocks it.
Ventura thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ventura swings for the body but Boyer moves out of range.
Ventura tries to sprawl but Boyer drives through with a takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ventura has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Boyer. Oh but Ventura has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Boyer goes limp - he's gone! Ventura jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
