Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomasz Adamek is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Charles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomasz Adamek! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adamek drives through and clinches with Charles against the cage.
Charles tries to pull guard but Adamek forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Charles is trying to pull guard but Adamek turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Charles can't break the clinch.
Charles pulls guard successfully.
Adamek is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Adamek passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adamek missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adamek slows the pace down in half guard. Charles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Adamek performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Adamek throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Charles shoots in looking for a takedown. Adamek tries to sprawl out of it but Charles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adamek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Charles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adamek has Charles up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adamek gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Charles.
Charles tries to pull guard but Adamek holds him up against the cage and eventually Charles drops back down to his feet.

Charles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Adamek working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Charles. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adamek can do anything to dispel that myth. Adamek has his feet on Charles's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Charles closes the distance but Adamek moves to the side and Adamek connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Adamek gets a clinch. Charles fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Charles pulls guard effortlessly. Charles is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Adamek works a leg free and moves into half guard. We've been informed that Adamek has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Adamek has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tomasz Adamek dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Adamek throws a quick inside leg kick. Tomasz Adamek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice uppercut lands for Adamek. That snapped Charles's head back.
It looks like Mario Charles has been cut. Charles stuffs the takedown. Adamek swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Adamek fails with the takedown. Adamek stuffs the takedown attempt from Charles. Charles gets slowly back to his feet. A low kick from Adamek misses and Charles counters with a left and a right that stings Adamek. Charles fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adamek throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Adamek is breathing heavily. Adamek gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Charles is trying to pull guard but Adamek turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Charles can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adamek controls the pace. Adamek won't allow Charles to get back to his feet. Adamek is pushing down on Charles's leg trying to pass to half guard. Charles is fighting to maintain full guard but Adamek has managed to sneak the leg through. Adamek looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Adamek is continuing to stall. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek working over Charles with some ground and pound. Charles looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Adamek uses his free foot to push down on Charles's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Charles. Adamek tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tomasz Adamek has got the better of the ground game so far. Adamek scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Adamek content just to control the position here. Adamek is in the full mount, landing strikes. Adamek has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Adamek looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Adamek. The adventures of Adamek the control monster continue. Boring. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Adamek putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tomasz Adamek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mario Charles's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Adamek tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Charles swivels and escapes. Adamek misses with a leg kick and Charles counters with a takedown into side control. Charles wants to stand but Adamek has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Charles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Adamek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Charles scoring with some ground and pound. Charles stands up over Adamek, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Adamek pushes Charles off and scrambles back to his feet.
Adamek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Adamek misses. Adamek fails with the takedown. Adamek ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Adamek moves into range and clinches up with Charles. Adamek breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Charles shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Charles tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Adamek.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek pushes Charles off and gets back to his feet. Adamek shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Charles as he avoids it easily. Mario Charles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Adamek. Charles instigates a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Charles drags the fight down to the ground.
Adamek is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Adamek wants to control from the top but Charles keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles wants to stand up but Adamek is controlling him. Adamek engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Charles is trying to keep Adamek in close.
Charles has momentary wrist control but Adamek slips an elbow through the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Adamek is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Charles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Adamek as he jumps to the side. Adamek lands a left and a right that send Charles crashing to the mat, dazed. Adamek thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Charles is rocked! No luck for Charles with that takedown attempt. Oh Charles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Adamek shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Charles is on queer street and Adamek is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
