Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nich DiMa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Bednyakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nich DiMa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vladimir Bednyakov! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DiMa throws a looping overhand right but Bednyakov ducks down to avoid it. Nich DiMa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bednyakov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. DiMa throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bednyakov on the side of the head. Bednyakov shoots for a double leg takedown but DiMa sprawls well. He's pushed Bednyakov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. DiMa dives in and grabs Bednyakov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bednyakov pushes down on DiMa's head and hops out. Bednyakov slips under a jab. No luck with that takedown attempt from DiMa. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from DiMa. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nich DiMa. That's going to take a lot out of him. DiMa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bednyakov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bednyakov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. You can see the frustration on DiMa's face as Bednyakov controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DiMa is not content to let Bednyakov control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bednyakov just content to control the position. Bednyakov wants to control but DiMa is keeping him busy. DiMa is trying to improve his position. Bednyakov controlling the position from side mount. Bednyakov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. DiMa sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bednyakov is pressing down on DiMa's thigh, looking to free his foot. DiMa is holding on for now. DiMa tries to get to full guard but Bednyakov has control of the leg. DiMa has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. DiMa is working hard here to advance position. Bednyakov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. DiMa moves into full guard.

DiMa with a hook. Nice sprawl there from DiMa as Bednyakov shoots in. Bednyakov walks into a straight right hand from DiMa. DiMa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fighters circling - DiMa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. DiMa scores with a decent looking hook. DiMa scores with the left hand. Bednyakov knows he should have avoided that one. DiMa darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Bednyakov is trying hard to land a takedown here. DiMa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A decent looking cross lands there for DiMa. Bednyakov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Nich DiMa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Bednyakov. Bednyakov is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bednyakov defending well as DiMa loads up on a big left hand. Horrible takedown attempt by Bednyakov or perhaps it was just good defense by DiMa, which made it look bad. Nice straight punches there by DiMa. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of DiMa. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DiMa jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Bednyakov shoots in looking for a takedown. DiMa tries to sprawl out of it but Bednyakov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. DiMa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nich DiMa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Bednyakov. DiMa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
And that's the end of the fight! Nich DiMa showed his dominance in that final round. I think DiMa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
