Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Canela Elbow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcelo Strazas!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strazas dives in and grabs Elbow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Elbow pushes down on Strazas's head and hops out.
Marcelo Strazas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Elbow throws the kick towards the body but Strazas avoids it.
Strazas shoots in but no luck this time.
Strazas tries to clinch
and Elbow counters with a good low kick that Strazas was not able to check.
Strazas moves out of range of the body kick.
Strazas blocks a leg kick.

Elbow rushes Strazas and presses him up against the cage.
Elbow displaying some good clinch control by pressing Strazas up against the cage.
Elbow landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Elbow lands a good knee to the midsection. Strazas won't want to take too many of those.
Elbow lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Marcelo Strazas has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elbow lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Strazas tries a knee to the head but Elbow blocks it.
Elbow creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Strazas's defenses.


That has opened up Marcelo Strazas's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Strazas throws a punch but it's blocked by Elbow.
Elbow lands an elbow inside that Strazas shrugs off.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Elbow takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Elbow creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Strazas's defenses.
Elbow blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Elbow lands an elbow inside that Strazas shrugs off.


The cut above Marcelo Strazas's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Elbow putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Strazas in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Marcelo Strazas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
