Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Irwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irwin comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - T.N.T. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwin lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Pete Gordon has been cut.
Gordon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Irwin.
Irwin lands a jab to Gordon's midsection.
Irwin connects with a nice looking jab.
Irwin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Irwin connects with a single shot there.
Gordon fails with the takedown
and Irwin counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gordon's knee momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice jab there from Irwin.
Gordon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Irwin lands a big uppercut and Gordon crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gordon looks OK. Irwin waves Gordon back to his feet!
Gordon is rocked!
BAM! Irwin delivers a spinning backfist that drops Gordon like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Paul Irwin!
Our winner, Paul Irwin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
