Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Tompkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Mageramsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tompkins's entrance music is Dying Fetus - One Shot, One Kill. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Tompkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Mageramsky! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Francis DeMontford and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mageramsky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tompkins circles away quickly and effectively. Mageramsky misses with an uppercut. Mageramsky lands with a shot to the body. Tompkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tompkins throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tompkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mageramsky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mageramsky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tompkins works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mageramsky cracks Tompkins with a solid left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mageramsky avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mageramsky tries to free his leg and advance position but Tompkins is retaining full guard. Tompkins trying to keep a closed guard but Mageramsky is proving a slippery customer.
Tompkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mageramsky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mageramsky with a nice head shot there. Mageramsky trying to control but Tompkins is working from the bottom. Mageramsky keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tompkins's head. Tompkins tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tompkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mageramsky's guard. Mageramsky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tompkins is one step ahead there. Mageramsky lands some strikes from the bottom. Tompkins controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tompkins cracks Mageramsky with a solid left hand. Tompkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tompkins won't allow Mageramsky to sweep him here. We've been hearing that Tompkins has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Tompkins wants to control from the top but Mageramsky keeps moving. Tompkins won't allow Mageramsky to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mageramsky wants to improve his position but instead Tompkins has moved into half guard.
Tompkins is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mageramsky trying to control but Tompkins postures up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tompkins lands a nice short elbow. Mageramsky works his way to full guard. Good work. Tompkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tompkins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tompkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tompkins works over Mageramsky with some ground and pound from guard. Mageramsky is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tompkins is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tompkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Mageramsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mageramsky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tompkins is one step ahead there. Mageramsky lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Mageramsky connects with a couple of short punches. Tompkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tompkins has his foot on Mageramsky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mageramsky works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tompkins looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mageramsky is defending well. Tompkins quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mageramsky has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tompkins celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
