Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson has chosen Louisiana Blues as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Mercer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Robinson! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercer defending well as Robinson loads up on a big left hand. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Robinson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Mercer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Robinson. That one must have hurt. Robinson scores with a leg kick.
Mercer missing with a left hand there. Robinson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Robinson throws a solid leg kick but Mercer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Robinson. Robinson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Robinson needs to keep his hands up - Mercer had a free shot at his head there. Mercer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Robinson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mercer. A slow jab from Robinson misses its intended target. Mercer throws a low kick, looking for Robinson's leg but Robinson calmly moves out of range. Robinson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mercer's hands. Robinson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ray Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mercer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mercer wants to slow Robinson down by chopping away at his legs. Robinson throws a wild body kick that Mercer sees coming a mile off. A cross from Mercer lands. Mercer with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Robinson. Robinson checks the leg kick. Nice uppercut there from Robinson. Robinson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Robinson lands with a kick to the temple. Mercer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mercer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Robinson. Robinson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Robinson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Mercer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Robinson ducks under a wild hook from Mercer. Robinson misses with a head kick.
Mercer throws a leg kick that is checked and Robinson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mercer won't allow Robinson to pass to mount. Robinson is looking to take a break and control but Mercer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercer tries to get to full guard but Robinson has control of the leg. Robinson works his foot free and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robinson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mercer is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robinson landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercer is desperately trying to improve his position but Robinson has a good base and remains in mount. Robinson tries to control but Mercer wriggling away. Robinson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mercer is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mercer is squirming around, avoiding Robinson's attempts to control the action. Robinson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Robinson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mercer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mercer tries to get back to half guard but can't. Robinson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mercer has worked his arm free - good work by Mercer!
Robinson trying to control the action but Mercer is working from the bottom. Mercer stops Robinson from passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Robinson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Robinson misses with an uppercut. Mercer saw that one coming. Mercer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Robinson looks to land a right hand but Mercer moved out of range. Robinson misses with a low kick. Mercer cracks the inside of Robinson's front leg. Mercer blocks a head kick by Robinson.
Robinson staying out of range there. Robinson misses with a leg kick. Mercer chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Robinson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mercer looking to land some kicks to the body here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robinson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mercer's head. Good work by Mercer as he checks the leg kick. A slow jab from Robinson misses its intended target. Robinson throws a low kick, looking for Mercer's leg but Mercer calmly moves out of range. Mercer blocks a low kick nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercer throws a hook but Robinson avoids it easily. Robinson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mercer will feel that in the morning. Mercer blocks a jab. Robinson connects with a high kick. Mercer lands a really nice looking cross but Robinson seems unphased.
Mercer avoids a punch combination nicely.

Robinson tries a head kick but it misses.
Robinson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Robinson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mercer checks it well. Robinson throws a hook to the side of Mercer's head but Mercer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Robinson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mercers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Robinson throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Mercer counters with a good low kick that Robinson was not able to check. Robinson thows a body kick. Mercer tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Robinson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mercer.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Robinson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Robinson throws a sloppy head kick and Mercer moves out of range easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Mercer. Mercer misses with a hook. Robinson ducked under it nicely. A swing and a miss from Robinson. Mercer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Robinson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ray Robinson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mercer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Robinson. A clash of legs there as Mercer blocks the low kick. A big left from Mercer misses. A head kick by Robinson misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Mercer misses with a body shot.
Robinson digs a good body shot into Mercer's ribs. Mercer ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Robinson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Robinson looks to score with a jab to the body but Mercer is just out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercer slips under a jab. Mercer slips under a jab from Robinson. Mercer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Robinson. A telegraphed right hand from Mercer misses the target. Robinson on the wrong end of a nice hook. A jab lands there for Mercer. Mercer throws a sloppy head kick and Robinson moves out of range easily. Robinson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fighters circling - Robinson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mercer tests Robinson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Robinson is rocked! Mercer drops Robinson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Robinson looks back up at him and smiles so Mercer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Robinson is still on wobbly legs! Can Mercer finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mercer feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Robinson collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Alex Mercer! After winning the bout, Alex Mercer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
