Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Deleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjarne Maksimov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maksimov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ironman. Bjarne Maksimov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maksimov moves out of range as Deleon throws a body kick.

Deleon tries to sprawl but Maksimov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Deleon misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Deleon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maksimov wants to clinch up but Deleon keeps it at a distance.
Maksimov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some bone on bone action there as Maksimov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Maksimov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Deleon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Maksimov to the mat. Maksimov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Deleon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Deleon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Deleon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maksimov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
